Happy New Year...and January 2012

Watching Finding Nemo with Nemo.
Clayton has decided he no longer needs naps, but he sleeps in a little later than usual. After a late night, he slept in until almost 10 and I finally had to wake him up. He woke up refreshed and happy though.
Cute sisters in matching jammies from Santa.
Warren was able to fix 3 out of 4 snowmobiles and he was so anxious to try them out. This year hasn't been the year for snow though and we were disappointed when even the drive up the canyon proved to be fruitless on New Years Day.
The boys and kids still enjoyed sliding around on the frozen lake.

It was quite the workout for the dads who had to pull the train of sleds.

We enjoyed a nice evening at the Lignell's for New Years Eve. Claudia made her tasty French onion soup/Clam chowder. I didn't think my kids would eat that very well, so I started a new tradition for my family. I made Chicken and dumpling soup (AKA Dinosaur Egg soup at our house.) I hid a toy dinosaur in one of the dumplings and whoever got it in their bowl will be blessed with good luck all year long! Blake got the dinosaur! (Everyone thought I rigged it, but I swear, I didn't!)
Of course there was much puzzling.
Since it has been a winter without much snow, Daddy took the training wheels off of Blake's bike and he has been trying to learn how to ride without them.
I love that face!
Daddy has been so proud of how well Blake is doing. Even though he falls over, he gets back up and keeps trying.
The boys love their new horse, Legend. They take turns pretending to lasso and reel each other in. Clayton is already trying to do tricks on his pony, like riding side saddle and standing up....both of which are against the rules;)
The boys got new bunk beds for their room. They started off taking turns sleeping on top and then we made a fort for the bottom bunk and Blake likes to sleep on the bottom.
I made cute name signs for their rooms to fit their personalities and interests. Clayton, of course, wanted a motorbike on his and Blake chose a robot with robot ribbon.
I like how they turned out.
We also went bowling with the kids for the first time and they LOVED it.

Clayton scored the most and even bowled a STRIKE once!
Ten fingers for all ten pins down.
Finally, we got some substantial snow! We had a great time playing for hours outside.
The boys both love using the snow shovel.
We made our first Utah snowman together. He was so cute, but was later pummeled by a shovel.
The other day, we stopped by McDonald's for lunch while our car was being serviced. This picture was so cute, I thought I'd throw it in too. Clayton said he wanted to sit with "that weird guy" for a picture. Haha!
