His card was green all day, but there were 3 kids in the class that ...RED. One kid got red, was sent to the office, tried again in class and ended up in the office again. With wide eyes, Blake said, "He never came back." One kid didn't want to eat all of his lunch so he was throwing it on the ground. Another kid kept doing "spiders" on the table (tapping fingers.) He even did it one last time when the teacher turned around. Blake talked about it like it was so sneaky.
He wasn't as excited as I thought he'd be about the cool Halloween pencil I hid in the snack part of lunch box as a surprise....he said, "I just didn't need it. The teacher had pencils so."
He said some of the kids asked him what his snack was...edamame beans.
I told him if he liked the snacks other kids bring, then to tell me so I can pack some for him. He told me he wanted me to pack him "Ariels." Of course I couldn't figure out what he was talking about. Surely he didn't want Mermaid snacks. He said, "She had little sandwich thingys that are white and black." OREOS.
At recess he jumped over a huge mud puddle.
One boy called another boy a "Chicken pot" and that was just a laugh riot.
He's ready to ask for a few days off and isn't sure if he wants to go back tomorrow.
