My boys and I had so much fun going to the Children's museum with Mako and her boys.
Blake took Clayton and Jo into the big climbing toy while I stayed below for a little while with Scottie. I told him to stay with the two younger boys and help them if they needed help. Shortly afterward, I joined them in the climbing unit. Stationed throughout are museum workers that keep the flow moving and help keep kids safe. One worker came up to me and said, "I just have to stop and tell you what sweet boys you have." She pointed to Blake and said, "He has been so sweet and helpful with the little boys. He talks so nicely. I can tell he is just so sweet." That of course melted my heart! I'm sure she sees a bunch of seriously bratty kids pushing through the tubes. It was wonderful to have a stranger see a little glimpse of the boy I get to enjoy every day!
Clayton really liked the Noodle forest. It scared me a bit though, because he'd just take off and I'd have no idea where he went. Then I'd just hope he came out the other side.
We spent a lot of time in the market. Blake and Clayton weighed beans together.
Clayton did a little grocery shopping.
The museum had very realistic looking produce.
Blake helped his brother check out.
Clayton of course was very excited to see a motorcycle. He was on there for a while.
Mako took the three smaller boys to the 3 and under room while I took Blake to the art studio. He and I made a pretty picture and then he got to paint a castle purple.
He was very good at it and took it very seriously.
After a sack lunch, we let the boys go through the Tricycle wash. This was Clayton's favorite part. We were there for a long time.
Blake really liked it to.
When Mako and I were ready to head for home, I saw Blake just entering the wash. I told him it was the last time. When he exited the wash, he immediately parked his trike and helped his brother off of his trike. Then he parked it and started to hold hands with Clayton to bring him back to me. I was so amazed that he listened the first time! He really had perfect behavior the whole time we were there. All the boys were so good that it makes me want to take them lots more places!
We grabbed a shot of Mako and her two cuties before we left too. We love having fun friends to hang out with.
