Arizona Snowy Day

Every year, Warren's company holds a reading day where they provide lots of good fun, a free book and treats. This year they read The Snowy Day. Daddy loves to show off his cute little boys.
Daddy helped Blake make some cute snowman crafts and Blake LOVED the snow cones they had.
Clayton was super tired because he missed his nap for the event. He was happy as long as Mommy kept giving him yummy treats....juice, applesause, fruitsnacks, etc.
After the indoor festivities, we ventured outside for some fresh Arizona snowfall....from a truck of course. The pile was pretty small, but the kids still had a great time. They looked like ants on a piece of candy.
Blake pushed his way to the top of the hill immediately. He was instantly the King of the Hill.
The other children tried to de-throne him,
but he wasn't going down easily.
I love this picture because the kids at the bottom of the hill are cowering to get ready for the blow.
Clayton took a little more passive approach.
He liked to grab snow from the side
and just taste it.
He was SO happy.
Despite my efforts to stop him, Blake ate the snow by the handfuls. Oh well.
Here's what it looks like to get snow thrown down your shirt.
This is the best "together" shot we managed in the chaos. It is actually one of my favorites because it captures the moment so well. I love these little personalities.
Once nice thing about a snow pile in AZ is that it is easy to run into the sun to warm up quickly. Blake had to take a quick warm-up break before tackling the snow-hill again.
If you want people in AZ to squeal over how cute your 16 month old baby is, slap on some snow bibs and boots and let 'em go a trompin'. People couldn't stop smiling and laughing at this cute little booty. A worker at the event called for the event photographer to come over to get some pictures of this little one. Hopefully, they will post them for us and I'll add them later.
I don't know why, but I just loved this shot. Maybe because it is so funny to see a kid wearing snow bibs and boots in a hot, desert landscape.
Clayton was so tired by the end he just started to cry. I changed him into a dry outfit and a minute later, he fell flat on his face. When I picked him up, his mouth was bleeding, he had road rash on his nose and cheek, and had a pebble up his nose. That was it for this poor baby and he finally got a little rest on the way home.
Don't worry, the kid that took this snowball chased Blake down and got him good in the back. At least he can take what he dishes out.
