The REAL 2012 Summer Olympic Games

With all of the excitement of the Summer Olympic Games in London this year, Kristin and I thought it would be fun to hold our own Olympics in her backyard. We started it off right with the running of the Olympic torch. This was taken very seriously by all 3 contestants.  

 Next, we had a series of team and single events. The pop of a Nerf ball gun started each race.

 The dogs made great spectators.

 First was the "Straw under the chin race."

 Then there was the "Balloon between the knee relay."

 Followed by the "Hug the balloon team race."

 After all of the results were tallied, the results were released. Blake took the Gold, Lindsey took Silver and Clayton took Bronze. Ashley took the Cutest Baby Girl award!

 We sang the National Anthem as Blake proudly waved the flag.

 Oh the devastation of getting third place....

Nothing a little flag waving couldn't fix.
