For my Birthday, Warren drove the family up to Las Vegas to visit Aunt Sandy. It was such a fun visit for all of us. The best part was going to see Andre Bocelli in concert at MGM. He was amazing! AMAZING! What a wonderful way to celebrate my Birthday.
My cousin Sheree lives near by and we all went to the concert together and then enjoyed ice-cream for dessert. My other cousin, Jordan was sweet enough to drive us to and from the concert. Thank you all so much!
Sandy's favorite color is purple, so we had stop and take a picture with this purple tree.
The next day, we went to the Shark Aquarium and it was so fun. The boys loved it.
This is what Warren calls, "the fondle tank," and it was both of the boys favorite.
About 30 seconds after this picture, Clayton knocked Sandy's exhibit remote into the water. The funny thing is that they are leaning directly over the sign that says to keep the remote away from the water. We pulled it out and a big red light went on. Sandy casually found a crevice to stow it on the way out.
This is Blake's shark face. If you look closely, you can see the shark outline to his right and a few shiny shark eyes in the picture too.
Next we went to PF Changs for a delicious lunch. The kids were being super silly afterward. We thought it was funny because both the kid's fortunes related to them.
While at Sandy's, she gave me some old fabric and a sequin stocking kit. It was so fun to create some cute new decorations. I made these pillows and little pillow pals for Blake, Clayton, Jaden and Brody. I think they turned out cute.
Over the River and through the woods, to Grandmothers house we go....
After HOURS of driving we made it safely to Grandma's for Christmas in Castle Rock. Again, I didn't take enough pictures with my camera. Someday I'll have to get the rest from Dad's camera. On Christmas Eve enjoyed an amazing dinner, played chimes, sang the 12 dogs of Christmas, and sang along to Warren on the guitar. Blake and I sang an edited duet of "Baby it's cold outside." He was so cute.
Clayton's was: "You will soon be crossing great waters on a fun vacation" (Hoover Dam)
Blake's was: "You will be rewarded for being a good listener. Use your gift." I was tempted to have that painted on his wall or something. VERY APPROPRIATE.
Christmas morning was magical and everyone was happy.
Unfortunately, our Christmas wasn't white. We had to drive an hour and a half up to the mountains to find some snow to play in.
On the way home to Phoenix, we stopped in a little town somewhere in New Mexico. As we were looking for somewhere to eat, we saw a restaurant named BLAKE'S. So of course we HAD to stop.
Clayton was super excited about the falling snow.

It was impossible to get Blake to pose for a picture. All he cared about was eating fresh snow.
The place was empty so Clayton could take a bite and then run around.
I love his super cheesy grin. His kids meal came with a toy Sherrif's badge. When Blake discovered it, he said, "Well, that was sure nice of Blake's."
We had a very low key New Year's Eve. Elliot and Kristin came over for chicken enchiladas and fire works. I love the new table cloth my mom bought me for Christmas. It made the whole evening seem more festive.
