Gettin' dirty

Warren and Blake went with Elliot and Kristin for a day at the lake. I don't remember why I couldn't come, but they had a great time with the dogs. The water was a little cold at first.
The dogs didn't seem to mind Blake's splashing.

Look at that murky water and muddy grass.

I don't know if I'd be brave enough to walk out into that squishy lake

(Please note that Bear is the only dog NOT in the water because he hates it)

For Labor Day weekend, we went up to Payson for a little camping over-night.

It was very last minute trip and we ended up camping too close to the regulated burn area so our campsite was SMOKEY! We had to hurry and pack up the next morning to find fresh air.

Blake and Clayton spent most of their time throwing sticks in the fire.

Daddy got a few wiggly snuggles though

The next day we went for a little hike...that turned into quite the adventure. The hike was a bit steeper than we had anticipated but we made it safely down to this sandy beach. HA!

This time, Clayton and Daddy ventured into the water with the dogs.

We hiked down to this rocky penninsula. All other parts of the shoreline were steep cliffs.

People paddling by in their little boats kept asking us how we got there.

"Did you guys walk here?"

It probably looked pretty funny with

3 adults, 3 small children, and 4 dogs

(we were dog-sitting Santa and brought him along too.)
