We got home pretty late from the Easter
pageant and still had to dye eggs! Blake didn't get to sleep until after 11!

Admiring our beauties;)

The Easter bunny came with sand toys and lots of goodies. I think Blake was most excited about the Easter bunny refilling his gumball machine. Every year, the Easter bunny always leaves little grass nests full of eggs and jelly beans randomly around the house. Warren always teases that he pictures the bunny "laying" the delicious jelly eggs there and it grosses him out. That silly Easter bunny gave Blake a wind-up bunny toy that "poops" out jelly beans as it hops along. It was a big hit!

Clayton had an eye for the easy eggs to find and even managed to open them. Blake was a cute helper and always excited gave the
binkies, rubber duckies, and graham crackers to his little brother.

Happy boy! Blake wasn't sure what to do first....look for eggs or check out his basket.

Clayton found that one all by himself

There's Daddy loading the pooping bunny. It was funny until Blake started letting the jelly beans drop straight from the bunny into his mouth....that's when it crossed the line to disturbing. Haha.

Look at these darling curls! I am in love with the back of this little head.

For dinner, we went to Kristin and Elliot's house and they prepared quite a feast for us to enjoy. It was a pretty lively group with Kristin's parents, grandma and cousin, Betsy, Abby, and all the rowdy boys.

Everything was so delicious. It was so nice to just show up to a beautiful Easter dinner with the people we love.

They also planned an awesome egg-hunt that allowed adults to
participate. Blake made out like a bandit. Betsy won the mystery prize: a cute, little white Easter dog..Shiloh.
She respectfully declined though.

The party ended as perhaps all parties should...bashing a pinata to
smithereens. Blake really got into it and was a pretty good shot. I decided this is the perfect was to get aggression and energy out of a boy that had had way too much sugar.

Lindsey had a turn too. Every time she hit the chick, she would say, "
Ohhhh!" and giggle.
It was really a riot.

Warren kept missing the chick and hitting Elliot instead. Smart Alec!

Blake eventually managed to take off both wings....

and the head. Poor chick.

After the goodies were removed, the empty carcass proved to be quite fashionable.
