January 2010

We had a very busy January! The weather in Phoenix has been fabulous so have been enjoying being outside a lot. We found out what Lindsey would look like if she was a boy....I dressed her in Blake's old play clothes so she wouldn't get her jammies dirty in the sandbox.
Buzz rescued Woody....once again. Blake did this all by himself when he was playing and I thought it was so cute.

Clayton is 7 months old. He has learned how to brush his teeth. He started crawling and pulling himself up onto everything. He has two teeth on the bottom. He wiggles his hands and feet whenever I feed him and hollers in between bites. He splashes like mad in the bath. He is still the Smiliest baby on earth.

He has BIG hands like his brother. He is very solid and heavy.
He wakes up very happy from his nap most days.

Blake loves the snow in SLC and had a great time playing in it.

Clayton couldn't move in his snowsuit
He reminds me of Maggie on the Simpsons
He likes to yell for the heck of it....just to be loud! Maybe he's just trying to keep up with Blake.

We went to the annual taking down the Christmas tree party at Farmor and Farfar's house. Farfar always does an amazing job on the lights so we got some cute pictures out front.
Go UTES!
After some great food, and a makes-shift talent show, we all hold hands and sing Swedish songs around the Christmas tree. Then the kids are blindfolded, spun around, and sent free to find a little candy present wrapped on the tree. It is our favorite party, even though it gets hot and crowded. Blake and I sang, "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas," and it was a big hit!
The night before the tree party we gathered at Papa's house to celebrate Chicky's kids visiting from Hawaii. Adam, Chicky, and Miles played some great music.
Farfar and I had the opportunity to sing together at the VA hospital for church that Sunday. We sang, "Come, Come ye Saints." He has an amazing voice and I LOVE to get to sing with him.

SLEDDING!
Blake and Clayton went sledding together for the first time and loved it. Blake was so strong and held on to his brother so tight!
We went sledding and playing in the snow with my friend Rebecca. She was so sweet and bought Blake complete snow gear and a cool Spiderman sled. We had so much fun.
Clayton and Mama snuggled while Blake and Natalie played in the snow in Papa's front yard.
I pulled them around the yard on the sled and then we made a cute Snow kid.
There was a lot of squeals and giggles.
After visiting SLC, I flew with the boys to see the Colorado gang. I didn't get as many pictures as I should have, but I got these great ones of the kids at the movies. We saw Alvin and the Chipmunks...the Squeakwell.
It was a good thing that we were the only people in the theater because the boys got a little rowdy and were running all over. Even Clayton was squirming like a wild man on my lap. It ended up feeling like a wrestling match that the boys won!
My best friends...my mom and sis
While we were away, Warren blew out his knee. Curse you WARD BASKETBALL! He completely tore his ACL, MCL, and Meniscus. Blake described the bruise as an upside-down smiley face with only one eye....do you see it?
