There's no greater joy than Motherhood!

I just have to take a moment and reflect on my sweet Blakie before my new little one enters this world. I thank God for every day that I have with my little angel. Blake is so funny. He is always saying unexpected things to make me laugh right out loud. He is also such a good helper. The other day we walked over to the grocery store while we were getting our car serviced. As we were walking the cart right next door to the car place, the wheels locked up and wouldn't allow us to leave the store premises. Having only 30 feet or so to get to our car, I unloaded the cart onto my arms and piled as much as I could on sweet Blakie. He never complained, even in the 105 degree heat. A man nearby made a comment about the cart locking up and I explained that our car was within sight. Unfortunately, the man simply walked on chuckling to himself instead of offering a hand to this poor 10 month pregnant woman and small child. After struggling to the car, I thanked Blake for being so helpful and explained how simple it would have been for that man to help us to our car. Blake looked up at me with the sweetest expression and said, "We don't need him, Mom!" Thank goodness I had my little buddy, my little helper there to help carry the burden. Thanks Sweetheart!
I just can't get over how cute it is to see Blake enjoy a good show. He is a little commentator when I watch shows with him and I love the excitment on his face when something unexpected happens.

I love the quiet moments I have to sing Blake to sleep nearly every night. I love when he requests songs about Jesus. Blake is so snuggly and expresses his love to us often. Out of the blue he will say, "I love you, Mom!" What could be better than hearing such sweet words on such a constant basis.
Last night when we gathered together for family scriptures and prayer, he wrapped his arms around Warren's and my neck and hugged us so tight, his teeth were grinding. He pulled back just enough to see our faces and said, "I love you guys!" and kissed each of our cheeks. I'll never forget that wonderful feeling.
Sometimes after I get my little one to sleep, I sit by him and kiss his cheeks, stroke his hair, and cry....I cry because my heart is so full of love for him that I need to lose some tears to make more room. I am excited to have another son to love and enjoy so much. I am so GRATEFUL!

Blake wears his sunglasses at night...while eating noodles!

Even though the little pool was still very cold in this picture, Blake just jumped in and enjoyed the splashing.
I have had such a wonderful Mother's Day. I am honored to be married to the amazing man I love. He and Blake surprised me with a day at the salon, beautiful yellow roses, the sweetest cards imaginable, a Spanish Mother's Day balloon, some KitKats, and last but not least....a rubber chicken! It certainly made me smile. I love my boys so much. Thank you!
